Classic Blue is the 2020 Pantone color of the year. As a florist in Midcoast Maine I could not be happier. Each year we get several requests for nautical-themed weddings. So what could be a more perfect color to add to the list than Classic Blue?

Blue is a cool and calming color that shows creativity and intelligence. Blue symbolizes loyalty, strength, wisdom, and trust--these attributes are all great qualities of a long and happy marriage. Blue also has a calming effect on the psyche.

Kate and Sam were married at the beautiful Camp Kieve in Nobleboro. Blue was the perfect color choice for a beautiful Maine lakeside wedding.

Samantha and Matt worked with a blue color palette when planning their wedding at the beautiful Craignair Inn & Restaurant in Spruce Head. Sam made a beautiful statement in her ivory gown.

The richness of the classic blue in her bouquet was highlighted by the neutral shades and tones of the rocks and the color of the ocean on the early spring day

Blue is a great foundational anchor shade, it enables color mixes throughout the spectrum as well as making a strong statement on its own

The Samoset Resort was the perfect venue for fairy-tale wedding of Chelsea and John. The ceremony was held on the front lawn of the resort overlooking the beautiful Rockland Breakwater.

Beautiful blue hydrangeas, blue delphinium, and natural thistle created the perfect urns for the beautiful July wedding.

The floral-decorated arbor made such a nice statement as guests arrived for the wedding ceremony overlooking Rockland Harbor and Breakwater.

Chelsea wanted blue used throughout her ceremony decorations.

The chairs were adorned with long, flowing, romantic light-blue satin ribbons tied with nosegays of baby's breath.

As guests moved into the tented reception area, the blue theme continued with blue china accented on the white linens and white chairs.

Ari and Cody were married at the Spruce Point Inn in Boothbay. Ari wanted a nautical theme for her waterfront wedding and reception. She chose a stunning blue and white bouquet accented with succulents as she walked down the aisle to become Mrs Barter.
